Joseph A. Galli Sr.

Secretary-Treasurer and Principal Officer Joseph Galli 
leads one of the largest Teamster local unions in the United States. With more than 200 labor agreements covering nearly 10,000 members, Teamsters Local 688 is one of the most progressive and democratic
unions in the labor movement. After working many years as a steward at Brown Shoe and business representative for the Union, Local 688 members elected Galli Trustee, Recording Secretary, Vice
President and President before becoming Secretary-Treasurer & Principal Officer in 1991. In addition to his duties as Secretary-Treasurer, Galli serves as Teamsters Joint Council
No. 13 Secretary-Treasurer, Missouri-Kansas-Nebraska Conference of Teamsters Trustee and Labor Health Institute Vice President. Galli has increased member services by expanding the local's education
program, improving communication through newsletters and meetings, making staff more accessible through increased use of technology and developing a member-based political action program. Back To Top

Mike Goebel
 Mike Goebel began his career at United Parcel Service as a part-time worker in 1973, and went full-time as a package car driver in 1978. Local 688 hired Mike as a Business Representative in
January, 1989. As a Business Representative, he has serviced a variety of industries, including manufacturing and healthcare, in addition to his duties representing the members at UPS. Mike is a
national leader for Local 688 in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, serving as a Chairperson of the UPS Missouri-Kansas-Nebraska Grievance Committee, the UPS Joint Area
Committee, and UPS National Grievance Committee. He served on the Teamster National UPS Negotiating Committee in 2002, and on the Central Region UPS Negotiating Committee in 1993, 1997, and 2002.

Dave Lalumondier
 Dave Lalumondier began working at St. Joe/Doe Run lead smelter in
1973 as a laborer, working his way up to the machine shop as a
sheet metal worker. After rising to chief steward and leading contract negotiation committees, Local 688 hired him as a business representative in 1992. Lalumondier has extensive National Labor Relations
Board (NLRB) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) experience. As Vice President and Director of Negotiations since January 2001, Lalumondier manages staff negotiation of more than
200 contracts. He also directly services and negotiates contracts for members in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, food processing and entertainment. Lalumondier also serves as LHI President.

Rich Diffley
 Rich Diffley, a 33-year Local 688 member who began his career at
Central Hardware, served as as a shop steward and member of contract negotiation, fair election and political
education committees before being hired as a business representative in 1979. As a Business Representative, Diffley has gained contract negotiation and servicing experience in a variety of industries,
including parcel and small package, grocery, manufacturing, food processing and soft drink. He served as a chairperson of the United Parcel Service (UPS) Missouri-Kansas Grievance Panel and Central
Conference-UPS Grievance Panel and as a member of the Central Conference UPS negotiating committee. Diffley has taken a special focus on health and welfare benefits for Local 688 members, serving as
a Trustee for Teamsters Negotiated Pension Fund and the Insurance and Welfare Fund. Back To Top

Steve Casey
 Steve Casey, a 17-year Teamster, is a feeder driver at United Parcel Service (UPS). Instrumental in the 1997
UPS Strike, he managed the picket line at UPS's Jefferson Avenue center. He has served as Trustee since 1999.

Anethel Luster
 Luster, a 17-year Teamster and driver at Gate
Gourmet (formerly Dobbs International Services) and has held the positions of Chief Steward and Industry Chairperson for the last five years. She is also a
trustee for Labor Health Institute. Luster has served as Local 688 Trustee since 2000.

Virginia Duckworth

Virginia Duckworth, a 25-year Teamster and steward at United Parcel Service (UPS), sat on the Local Addendum UPS negotiating committee four times, was
a rank-and-file member of the 2002 UPS national negotiating committee, and was a delegate to the 2001 IBT Convention. Her service at UPS also includes 23 years as a part-time employee. Back To Top
